SUB CONTRACTING and CREDENTIALS:
I still work as a sub-contractor with the following construction related companies:
*FULLY LICENSED AND BONDED
*MEMBER OF ORCIA - Oklahoma Residential and Commercial Inspection Association
*HAVE COMPLETED OVER 450 HOME INSPECTIONS TO DATE
My name is Scott Hartzog, I own and operate Hartzog Home Inspection. I do not hire additional inspectors. Clients deal with me alone which gives me the quality control that I demand for all aspects of your home inspection.
Just because an Inspector has a license and a web site does not mean that you will get a good home inspection. When I first got my home inspection license I had never done a home inspection. I had worked in many related fields, (see sub contractors.) But I knew that I needed more knowledge and hands on experience before I was confident that I could provide a first rate service. I researched the web and realtors and found the most knowledgeable inspector in the Oklahoma City area, Jim Gendill with Anasazi Home Inspection and Structrual Engineering Services. I called Jim and he let me tag along/apprentice on his inspections. Home inspectors are only required to complete class hours and pass a national test. Home inspectors are not required to have any building qualifications and there are no apprenticeship requirements. After my 25th home inspection with Jim he hired me. I still continue to work with Jim occasionally. There is no better way to learn a skill than to work with the best. I am sincerely grateful to Jim and his wife Joyce for all the knowledge they have bestowed upon me. Because of this experience, and my related experience in construction fields, “I can guarantee a first rate quality inspection with a money back guarantee.”
***I graduated high school from Tulsa Vo-Tech with a plumbing diploma. I worked for several years in the plumbing field as well as the carpentry field, from framing to trim work before attending college. I graduated from O.U. with a degree in theatre construction practice and technologies.
